Carsley’s Young Lions dispatch Moldovan threat.

England’s Under 21s returned to winning ways on Tuesday night as they overcame Moldova.

The Young Lions were ahead on 11 minutes when Ethan Nwaneri fired home with fellow Arsenal academy graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly as the source.

Moldova were level moments into the second half through Vasile Luchita’s thumping strike, causing alarm for the hosts.

Archie Gray reestablished England’s lead after the hour mark before Nwaneri added his second, ten minutes later, to put an end to a nervy spell for Lee Carsley’s side.

Romain Esse put the rubber stamp on victory eight minutes from time, after Josh King found the Coventry City loanee unmarked.

A no frills victory for the Young Lions, more to come on Covfeed.
