Catholic Community Centre Football Club have
moved to a new ground for their 24 teams!
The Chelmsley Wood club confirmed they had commenced relocation on August 23rd on their homepage to a new site on Mackadown Lane.
When asked how they how they were able to complete the deal, Hayley Dorris, chairlady for CCC, said, “The ground we now call home is actually leased by Mackadown Sports and Social Club. The previous club had moved to another site, leaving the ground available. Sean Abrahams, who runs Mackadown Sports and Social Club, invited me and the club’s management to visit and asked whether CCC would be interested in leasing it. Naturally, we accepted the offer, as CCC has never had a local base to truly call home.”
“Their achievements embody the values we strive to instil at CCC — commitment, passion, and the pursuit of excellence.”
The 10-minute move across east Birmingham has come as great news for Catholic Community Centre FC as they will finally have a place to call home. However, they have faced challenges since, especially connected to the lack of equipment needed to maintain the pitches. Hayley said, “To address this, we’ve relied on crowdfunding and fundraising to purchase essentials such as mowers, turf, and seed. This will ensure the ground is ready for all our players to train and play safely.”

The CCC is known for multiple professional football players having gone through their ranks before making it in the big leagues. The CCC are beyond proud of their commitment to giving every player that goes to them the best possible opportunities to make their dreams come true. “Here at CCC, we have been fortunate to see several of our former players achieve remarkable success — including Lee Carsley, the current England Under-21 Championship-winning manager; Troy Deeney, a long-serving Premier League forward; and Paul Tait, Birmingham City’s hero in the Leyland DAF Cup final. These individuals continue to inspire the next generation of young players, proving that with hard work, determination, and self-belief, success is within reach. Their achievements embody the values we strive to instil at CCC — commitment, passion, and the pursuit of excellence.” Hayley Dorris as part of an all-female top table explains the appreciation that the club has for its past players that continue to support them and the young players within the club now.
