Three people arrested in relation to “dead man found in bin”

West Midlands Police have stated that “Three people are in custody this morning as we continue to investigate after a man's body was found in Coventry.”

“Those arrested include a man and woman in their 40s and a man in his 20s.”

“All three were arrested overnight in Blackpool on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender as our investigation continues.”

Police have determined the man found in a wheelie bin on Friday evening (13th of March) at Cashs Park is aged between 40 and 50.

WMPD hope to identify the man by sharing distinguishable information. He had a tattoo of a cross with a snake wrapped around it on his back and the words 'Little Stardust.' His right arm had a tattoo that said 'Nan', the colours of the Irish flag, with an accompanying clover.

A major enquiry has been launched between the Police and Coventry City Council to identify where the green-lidded, wheelie bin has come from and find out who the victim was. Police said they are 'working around the clock' to identify the victim and understand how he died. It is believed he may have been hit by a driver before being moved to the Park.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Poole said that “several pieces of information have been received as a direct result of our appeal, and we are following up on those lines of enquiry.”

“I really want to hear from anyone who recognises the descriptions of the tattoos on the man as they are quite distinctive.”

If you know or are responsible for what happened to this man, I would urge you to come forward now so we can get the answers that he deserves.”
