Mild weather set to continue after the hottest Bonfire Night on record
Leamington Spa
Temperatures across Coventry and Warwickshire are due to remain high following an unusually warm start to the month. Some areas of the UK have been hotter than Turkey this week and are remaining warm with highs of 16°.
This weekend is set to be dry, with highs of 15° and lows of 6°, with the following week due to be wet and mild. Bonfire Night celebrations are set to go ahead over the dry weekend, with Kenilworth Castle’s annual fireworks display taking place this Saturday. Coventry can expect rain on Monday, Thursday, Friday and the following weekend.
The Met Office’s long term forecast said “The start of this period is likely to be largely unsettled and mostly mild, with bands or areas of rain moving across most parts of the UK, although tending to be focused more on western and possibly southern parts.”
As the month continues, the midlands can expect a more typical November chill: “From around the middle of the month, we may see a transition towards more generally drier weather across the UK, and with this it is likely to turn a little cooler overall, with a greater risk of overnight frost.”
