Late Fightback Falls Short for Young Sky Blues

The Coventry Arena hosted the U21 Sky Blues match against Charlton Athletic. A rare atmosphere surrounded the players, with support also coming from the Coventry City Young Academy.

After a slow start from both teams, the visitors took control in the first half, scoring two goals following an impressive move between their forwards and silencing the home support.

The second half was more thrilling, with both teams battling for a goal. Charlton made it three after seven minutes, but the Sky Blues responded with renewed energy, as Ambursley and a trialist struck to spark late tension.

Moments of pressure followed as Coventry pushed forward, but they fell just short of an equaliser in a dramatic finish. More to follow on Covfeed.
